Description
So this is the brush I've painted all my recent deviations with, I don't use my other ones at all anymore.
All of them starting with this one.

I don't use anything else to color but my flat brush, that includes blending. I don't use an extra brush to blend, because I manually blend with this one. I take two colors and use the color drop, the eyedropper thing whatever you want to call it, to pick up shades between. I don't like the blend settings on Sai anymore because, personally, I find them to come out looking smeared rather than blended. So I don't even have 'blend' checked off at the bottom and blending is left at zero.
I have dilution set at 25 and persistence set at 50. If you're wondering why, it's because I find persistence handy at giving of a natural paint look. It leaves the color imperfect, with small spots of blended color within the picture like natural paint. If you don't like this, put persistence at 0.
A natural look is what I was going for this brush, that is also why I color with a square brush now.
As for dilution, I find that it helps to create a soft blended look with the use of separate top layers. Sometimes it helps to bring those new layers down to 80-97 opacity.
On the little 'hard - soft' meter at the bottom, a lower number tends to give you a lighter color, but a more narrow brush. The opposite is true for a higher number.
If there is anything else you want to know about my settings, or brushes in general, just ask.
Feel free to use these settings, just give me credit for making them.
